The built-in writing tools are quite impressive. I use them frequently. Is there a single Apple Intelligence feature that isn’t just a gimmick?
Genuine question.

Personally, I think so.And let's be honest about ALL their services ... are any of them really that amazing or "the best in a class"?
I actually shut the entire feature off, within 5min of setting up my 16.Does anyone here use Apple intelligence on a regular basis? I don’t. Maybe a Genmoji once in a blue moon and a quick auto reply in iMessage once in a blue moon too.
I keep it on because I like the type to Siri and the Visual Intelligence. But I so wish I could turn it off in Messages.Great example
Totally useless garbage suggestions

I wouldn't even call it intelligence. Apple isn't behind everyone else with regard to AI. Apple isn't even in the game yet.Is there a single Apple Intelligence feature that isn’t just a gimmick?
Genuine question.
Every company should fail as much as Apple.[…]
Oh, how the mighty have fallen!
Apparently those auto-reply options in Messages...Which I'm surprised it took Apple this long to implement since they've been in Teams, Google Messages for years.
That is the legit on feature I can say is good.
Image Playground and Writing tools are too limited and poor.
They've clearly run out of good ideas for a number of years and are now just trying to keep their stock from tanking.Apple needed a reality check. They've been coasting on "meh" for a while now.
What happens next is critical.
...After all, Apple Intelligence or not, people still need phones when they’re old ones break and will still upgrade.
Now is this embarrassing for them? Of course. But is it being blown out of proportion? Absolutely.
both Google and Microsoft had to delay the initial launch of both of their AI features due to controversy, security, language issues.
Even Amazon‘s recently announced “Alexa+” has this at the bottom of the page…
“Alexa+ will start rolling out in the U.S. in the next few weeks during an early access period, and subsequently in waves over the coming months.”
Given that this is about as vague as apples original announcement, I would not be shocked to see “the coming months” become December 31.
So you own their most expensive phone from two years ago and their latest generation of their most expensive watch?Apple is basically becoming the new Blackberry. Their products used to be cool and wow us. Now Apple is becoming one big cringe fest of embarrassment.
Someone needs to kick Tim Cook out. Gonna rock my iPhone 14 Pro for as long as possible, same for the AWU2. The only product I look forward to is the APP3.
Oh, how the mighty have fallen!
Gemini is good and getting better all the time. You can use a lot of it on iOS though.Idk if the grass is greener on the Android side when it comes to their voice assistant, but I'm tired of Siri's missing features and am, for the first time ever, considering Android.

Apple has been far more profitable under tim cook then under steve jobs. However, steve jobs was a far better visionary when it came to hardware and software.Apple was forced to switch from Lightning to USB Type C. Now it's time to force Tim Cook and others with no product knowledge out of Apple.
I suspect none are truly reaching some sort of higher ground with customers on AI yet. Sure plenty use Gemini or ChatGPT to answer all sorts of things but Apple users can use those exact tools too. Even if Apple was doing great at AI now there would be a lag before users were frequently using it. Some would avoid it on principle at first and others just wouldn't know what situations it could help. But over time and after hearing how friends use it it would slowly creep into their daily lives. My impression is, the AI adaption for B2C customers in general is not as impressive as media wanted to make us believe it was going to be. I wonder whether Samsung and Google are actually having the same issues?
