An iPhone ultra with no port that you can take scuba diving, is surely the dream, right? If only for the ads that Apple could make (although they might want to make sure that it really is waterproof before they make the ad so we don't have another 'Apple Intelligence vapourware - but we're advertising it anyway, debacle'.

My EQS has it by default...the new Audi A5/A6 has it by default and its ventilated as well...so whos fooling who. and thats just the start..Check your data first. The car are getting more expensive for couple of reasons ,and not just from profit reasons but also they have a lot more standard options

Yeah for sure we'll get there eventually but in the meantime, they're gonna have folks over a barrel trying to squeeze out more profits

I don't think it will happen (ever) due to EU regulations on requiring a physical charging port.

Check the thread. Apparently the EU regulations only require that if there's a physical charging port, it has to be USB-C, but they already acknowledge portless devices.

No, but you can use the volume, Action, or Camera buttons to click the shutter. Anything that requires manipulating the screen will be difficult.

If they want to create an Air model that’s super thin and lacks ports then fine by me.

Idk why people keep mentioning “charging” like that’s the only deal breaker.

I use my iPhone to connect to drone controllers, telescopes, music equipment etc.
Connectivity is way more important to me than charging. I use MagSafe almost exclusively, throughout my home, work and car.

If they were to remove USB-C functionality from the Pro series, I would simply switch straight to a manufacturer that has something with a USB-C port.

Apple Music does have a support of Hi-Res Lossless. There is a lot of content available on Apple Music with 24-bit sound signature. Without USB-C, how to connect external DAC with iPhone? That will be an end for the great sound quality.
