Apple announced that the MacWorld Expo Keynote will be broadcast and webcast live on January 7, 2003 at 9am Pacific Time.

MacCentral has the satellite coordinates, and web-viewers can use this page.

In related news, an anonymous source reports that Apple France will be rebroadcasting Steve Jobs' MacWorld San Francisco's Keynote at the Pompidou Center in Paris, France at the same time and is inviting customers. No other details currently available, but such a rebroadcast is not a routine event.

Watching keynote is so great with MPEG4.
I'm on 56k and in a very bad position, last macworlds (except mwsf) everything was jerky, had to rebuffer every minute.. but this is so great we get 5 fps and sound wooohoo

BTW, will that IRC channel be advertised again? That would be soo great.

Any idea if the Apple Stores will have a special Keynote-viewing event again this year?

At the Pompidou!
Man, that is very cool. View of keynote and of Nortre Dame at the same time. Two of my favorite things at once.
It would be better to be at that relay viewing site than at MWSF.;)

i always skip school for macworlds. luckily i only have to skip my afternoon (i'm in michigan)

talk about loyal ;)

You must be joking!! Skipping school to watch a saleman selling a bunch of products? This hyperconsumeristic times that we are living in has got out of hand. I mean come on......You'll going to sit for two hours while he drones on about software that you will need and must have to survive? The fate of humanity will be decided on his almighty speech....Wait a minute, am I confusing this theme with the opening of "The Lord of the Rings" tonight (LOL). I will attend neither. There is no way am I going to worship a saleman.

i'm serious. i did it last year. even if you think steve's just a salesman, he's a durn good one.

steve is one of the best speakers i've witnessed, and there's nothing like watching him live. it's incredible.

I was like you a few years ago, when I was young and naive. I won't shy away from admitting this studip mistake.

My agrument is this, you can not reason your way out of this weird form of worshiping. :D

well at the very least it's a reason to stay home and not waste another 2 hours at school. :D

HAHAHA!!! This is great!

Tuesday the 7th at 11:15 AM I will be in 3rd period study hall. And since the school gave us all iBooks, I will be able to catch the last 45 minutes of the keynote!

God I love iBooks....:):D

Apple Finland has done it too.

Well at least Apple Finland has broadcasted the four last keynotes live in different places most of the time in a ballroom of a 5-star Hotel in downtown Helsinki. I hope they do it this time too. It is quite remarkable, because the marketshare Apple has in Finland is propably 1% or less.

How wonderful for you that you've finally attained age and wisdom. ever think that in another few years, you'll be in a totally different state of mental maturity, and maybe you'll look back and think it was a mistake to criticize him for scheduling into his life something he's interested in?

I've both skipped school for it, and went AWOL on school grounds (hiding out) to watch it... it's not an unusual thing among Mac fanatics, some of us are greatly excited about the prospect of new products that will indeed change the world...

 :)

anyway, we will record it for u :p

I will be at "school" which also happens to be at work. I will be watching it projected onto a movie screen (60 foot or so) from the Sat feed. I will also have my Tibook and watching it over wireless with mpeg 4 at the highest rate.

After reading all the posts, I feel old. I just skipped my 15 year HS reunion :)

"Gone to the dark side" is an often made conclusion by the faithful about a Mac user switching to Window PC. A similar thing can be said about some of us with minds have been distorted beyond repair by the distortion field eminating from Steve's ass.

They've been gased :D I got a feeling, I won't win this agrument. But then again this is my point
