Amazon today has low prices across nearly the entire M4 MacBook Air lineup, with up to $223 off both 13-inch and 15-inch models. Some of the notebooks in this sale are seeing delayed delivery estimates, with most arriving in early or mid June, but if you're interested you can lock in these deals now ahead of those delivery dates.

Starting with the 13-inch models, Amazon has up to $182 off all three of the new configurations of this notebook. Prices start at $867.88 for the 256GB model, then raise to $1,037.19 for the 16GB/512GB model and $1,216.87 for the 24GB/512GB model. While the 256GB model is a solid second-best price, the latter two models are new record low prices for the M4 MacBook Air.

Moving to the larger display models, Amazon has both 512GB versions of the 15-inch M4 MacBook Air on sale this week, as well as the 256GB model. The 16GB/512GB model is available for $1,236.59 and the 24GB/512GB model is on sale for $1,375.85. Across the board, these are all new all-time low prices on the 15-inch M4 MacBook Air.

But Windows competitors are putting in 512gb for the base price
Not much of a difference when you consider Windows install size and then how that install size randomly grows with time. And now Recall is back on Windows so kiss another 50 plus gigs goodbye. I would think mist consider the Surface Laptop to be the main parallel to the MacBook Air. That still starts at 256… though with Windows fully installed, you can expect 100GB working space.

Or you could buy the M3 Air 13.6, 24GB, 512 at Costco for $900. But I guess no one wants to mention that if there isn’t an affiliate link. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️
Not much use if there is no Costco in easy range, and you have not added on the membership fee.

The offer is online only. so having a Costco in proximity is completely irrelevant. And you don't have to be a member to take advantage of the offer, although as a non-member you will have to pay an extra 5%, or $45. I would argue that a groupon deal to join for a year at $65 with a $50 Costco shop card tossed in would be more than worth it in this case, but hey, to each their own.

(Also, PayPal and Chase Freedom Unlimited currently have an promo that'll score you an extra 5% off on the purchase - so if you happen to have that combo, you'll save another $48ish bucks.)

You're welcome. 🤣

why are iphones $1200 when a whole macbook air with an m4 chip is $800?
Because iPhones are typically purchased on a monthly payment plan bundled in with an airtime contract, sometimes subsidised by the phone network. Few people are dropping $1,200 all at once, more like $50 a month. This makes them more “affordable”

Whereas laptops are typically purchased as a large, one off payment, so are more price sensitive

A tempting decision for sure is either a new $1400 M4 15 inch MacBook Air with 512gb/24gb, or a 2021 16 inch MBP M1 Max with 8TB/24gb and 2 cycle counts from a supposed authorized refurbisher.

Isn’t it possible to pay via payments if you use an Apple Card? Or no?
